Wrens Y3

Wrens Curriculum Newsletter Sep 2022 is here

Meet Miss Gilmore!

Welcome to Wren class! I have enjoyed the first few days of term and have loved getting to know all of Wren class. Everyone has made a really enthusiastic start to the year and I am excited about the learning opportunities we have planned for this term.

We are a kind and bubbly group of 13. In wrens, we enjoy working collaboratively and being creative. The more artistic the task, the better! We love reading our class books together, and are always keen to pick up our reading books whenever we can. Maths is also a favourite subject of ours. Although we are not the biggest class, we make up for it with our enthusiasm for learning and curiosity.

Homework:

Reading – It is important that your child is reading every day, as a school we request that children read a minimum of 5 times a week. The children have now been given their reading diaries, due to C19 these are to be kept at home and filled in by an adult, when the child reaches milestone reads you can inform me through class dojo and I will make sure that the child receives the relevant certificate for their achievement.

Spelling: I will send home the spellings for this term. They will have spelling practice in class up to three times a week however it is important that they also practise their spellings at home.

Times Tables: Practice on Times table Rock stars would greatly improve their fluency, children should be practicing times tables at home weekly.

Thank you,

Miss Laura Gilmour
